What to expect: If you are interested in learning more about the services provided by Harvesting Hope Counseling Services, please call for a brief phone conversation. During that time we will be able to identify some personal goals and ideas that you would like to explore in treatment, as well as how I can help you achieve those goals.
What will my intake/first appointment look like?: If you determine that you are interested in working with me, you will receive an intake appointment time, as well as a welcome packet of documentation for you to fill out and return prior to your session. Our initial session will focus on the client and therapist identifying topics to explore in treatment, as well as outlining any personal goals that the individual wants to achieve during their time in therapy.
How long are the sessions: Therapeutic sessions are scheduled weekly and are fifty-five minutes in length.
Scheduling appointments: Harvesting Hope Counseling Services will schedule weekly sessions based on a mutually agreed upon day and time by client and clinician.
Confidentiality: Harvesting Hope Counseling Services prioritizes confidentiality in the therapeutic process. Telehealth sessions will be conducted using the Simple Practice or Google Meet platforms which are HIPAA-compliant, and all client records/payments will be stored in a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system. Should I receive a request for information about you, you must fill out and sign a release of information before we can speak with the entity requesting the information.
What is a mandated reporter? All mental health professionals in the state of New Jersey are mandated to report allegations or suspicions of abuse and neglect. This includes children, elderly adults, people with disabilities, and any other person at risk of interpersonal violence. Please be aware that should any of these things be discussed in sessions, this may require me to break confidentiality without your consent in order to report the allegation to the appropriate place.
Do I accept insurance: At this time Harvesting Hope Counseling Services is a contracted service provider with Aetna, Cigna, and Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey. If you are interested in working with me but do not have insurance through one of these providers, it is possible you have out-of-network benefits that cover a portion of your session cost. If you have out-of-network benefits, I will be able to provide you with invoices for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
What are the preferred methods of payment? Payment is due at the conclusion of each session via all major credit cards, and are processed through Stripe.com (HIPAA-compliant platform).
Cancellations/Rescheduling Appointments: It is the expectation that clients call to cancel their session at least one business day prior to the appointment in order to avoid any fees. Sessions canceled in less than one business day will result in a $100 late cancelation fee.
